Las Vegas Casinos Almost as Good As Online Casinos

From the humble beginnings in the early 1930’s with the Northern Club which was the first establishment to get a gaming license in what is now known as Las Vegas to the modern day casinos of the strip the Vegas strip and Las Vegas casinos have a long history.
The first casino on the strip was the Pair of Dice Club which was also formed in 1931 on Highway 91 or more famously known now as the strip.  Just think about what would have happened in the Hoover Dam had not been done; we may not know what is now considered famous throughout the world.
In 1941 the first casino in downtown Las Vegas was the El Cortex Hotel, with a variety of others to follow suit.  Hotels and casinos became one for a large part of the area.  Over the years a variety of hotels and casinos opened some with success and some with failures. 
But for what we are familiar with today started with The Mirage built in 1989 which was the first new resort in 16 years on the strip.  This was followed by a variety of others to include the MGM Grand and the Stratosphere.  But the Bellagio is the jewel at the cost of $1.7 billion dollars to open in 1998.
There are a variety of properties like the Bellagio such as the Venetian built in 1999 and the Wynn Las Vegas in 2005, further increasing the glam and glitter of not just Vegas but of the strip itself.  Each new Las Vegas casino did not just bringing a new building to the area but new lights and new ideas of how to lay out the building for maximum use, each one influencing the next in some way or fashion. 
No matter where you live Las Vegas is one of those must visits.  The history behind it all only further enhances the experience.  But nothing is like being there and actually enjoying the sites yourself.  So regardless of where you live in the world if you get a chance to go to Vegas take it and think about the history behind it while you enjoy the sites.
