Roulette is a popular casino game used for gambling. The game's history actually dates back to the 18th century, when it was developed in France by Blaise Pascal. It actually evolved from several different English wheel games like E.O., ace of hearts, roly-poly etc. The game has been in use from as early as 1796, where it was first introduced in Paris. The game is mostly available in almost all casinos around the world and is very popular among casual as well as dedicated players. The game actually relies on luck or chance rather than any skill shown by the player.
The basic equipment for roulette is a game table where there is a large wheel with numbered pockets. These pockets are arranged according to a certain order and can be of two types; 37 for Europian Roulette and 28 for American roulette. In both of those versions the pockets are color coded according to order or even numbers. There aren't usually three types of colors seen on a roulette for use, all odd numbers are colored red, even numbers are colored black and only the zero for Europian Roulette or the zero and double zero for American roulette are colored green. A ball is spun anti clockwise to the compared to the clockwise rotation of the Roulette wheel. As the ball loses momentum and falls on the wheel in a numbered pocket, winners and losers are announced.
Roulette is usually known as the moneymaker for any casino, as it has a huge house advantage over any other table game. Though there are many people who claim that there are some processes that allow you to beat the house advantage but, mathematically without luck there is nearly no chance to beat the house in the long run. Most of the betting systems available for roulette are based on complex mathematical calculations that allow you to minimize your losses thereby increasing your gain subsequently. But, statistically Roulette has some huge advantage over the player as simply put, if a player chooses to minimize their losses extremely using a one dollar bet on every possible color then there is every chance that the player will win but with the loss of at least $37.
